Greetings to all my fellow school nurses. I am sure you are as busy as I am setting up your office: Checking immunizations; writing ECPs; providing education to your epinephrine autoinjector and glucagon delegates; the list goes on. So many tasks, it is often over whelming. But as J.R.R. Tolkien, The Fellowship of the Ring, states “All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.” So, I often have to remind myself to take a breath, decide what needs to be done at this moment, knowing tomorrow is another day. And year after year, as October approaches, everything falls into place and calm is restored …just in time for the NJSSNA Fall Conference. The Fall Conference is a perfect opportunity to learn some new information, network with your colleagues, and acquaint yourself with leaders in our field. I look forward to this event every year, partially because I always learn new information but mostly because I have the honor of interacting with you, my fellow school nurse. See you October 22 at Cumberland County College!
