AFFILIATIONS

County Organizations
All counties in the state have a School Nurse organization.  They actively network and profit from their mutual experiences.  County representatives serve as liaison to the NJSSNA Executive Board.

National Organization
NJSSNA membership elects a Director to represent their organization on the Board of the National Association of School Nurses (NASN).  NASN represents school nurses on national and federal committees which affect health services to children; on the National Federation for Specialty Nursing; is an affiliate of NEA which provides lobbying services for school health legislation; supplies written and oral testimony to Congress regarding school health services; has established liaisons with many health related groups.
